SpoilerTV BUZZ!

After an increase in suicide among young people in the gay community and the recent suicide of Rutgers University student Tyler Clementi, celebrities have joined forces with The Trevor Project to broadcast a loud and clear message – It Gets Better.

The nonprofit endeavor was established to promote acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth and to aid in suicide prevention among that group. They have launched a video campaign starring high profile celebs who have recorded PSA’s in an effort to give these struggling teens hope.

The videos include appearances by Rex Lee, Shay Mitchell, Candice Accola, Greg Grunberg, Erika Jane, Ashley Roberts, Katerina Graham, Julie Benz, Michael Chiklis, Daniel Radcliffe, Ian Somerhalder, Jason Derulo, Cyndi Lauper, Jenny McCarthy, Kristin Cavallari, Anne Hathaway and Chris Colfer. The stars urge those who are struggling to call the confidential toll free Trevor hotline that is staffed 24 hours a day at 866-488-7386.

Over the past week, five teens have committed suicide after being taunted and teased over their sexuality. If you know anyone struggling please pass on this story and the information. You could save a life.
