The Last Airbender doesn’t hit the big screen until July, but M. Night Shyamalan is already at work on his next project. Though details of the script are better protected than Area 51, stars Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow and Bruce Willis are rumored to be attached. I’m cautiously optimistic about this one if for no other reason than Bruce Willis is becoming to M. Night what Grace Kelly was to Hitchcock… and Bruce has been known to go blond.
Gilmore Girls fans take note: Lauren Graham is “thisclose” to joining the Scream 4 cast. No word yet if she’ll envision kicking Taylor’s ass during any fight scenes.
Hollywood’s adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is in the works. Both Brad Pitt and Daniel Craig are supposedly interested in the role of journalist Mikael Blomkvist, and the names Natalie Portman, Scarlett Johansson, Kristen Stewart and Carey Mulligan have all been brought up in connection with the brilliant but troubled computer hacker, Lisbeth Salander. It looks like a relative newcomer will be shouting “Let’s Dance!” when the remake of Footloose hits the big screen in April. Kenny Wormold (from MTV’s Dancelife) will star opposite Julianne Hough as Ariel. Dennis Quaid has signed on as the chorophobic Reverend Moore.
As a final thought for the day, I’m going to leave you with this quote from Cameron Diaz:
“Oh my gosh, I can’t even count how many times I’ve gotten on a plane for love. It’s not unusual in this business; my lifestyle demands it. I’m always traveling for [whispers] ... c**k. You’ve got to go where it is.”You can see this classy lady in Knight and Day, coming soon to a Redbox near you.
